September 21, 2008 Evergreens vs East Side Gents

Fifteen players turned up for the Evergreens including 70 year old Harold Bergman. The Gents' player of the game was Steve Brown who scored 2 breakaway tries. Shane Cable won the same honour for the Evergreens. Cudos to all Evergreens that played in this tough physical match. A special Thanks goes to Teo for playing the second half with the Evergreens and scoring the first try for same. Shane Cable broke thru the Gent's defence to score the Evergreens' 2nd try. Due to some missing position players at scrum half and full back, Kirby Young and Ron Ireland repectively played these positions. Thanks to these two players for playing out of position in these key positions. The Gents won 3-2. The coveted "Dick of the Day" award went to Scotty for TWO reasons, one for accusing Dwayne of too much use of the elbow (ironic eh?), and two for playing for 3 different teams against the Evergreens so far this year.
